Leigh Evans, Co-Founder
Leigh started her career in Los Angeles and New York in the entertainment industry working for prestigious companies such as Creative Artists Agency, Red Wagon Entertainment, Tribeca Productions and the Tribeca Film Festival. Leigh then went on to become Special Projects Producer for the Doha Tribeca Film Festival, helping form the inner workings of the festival and guiding it towards success. Leigh created Girl Around Town when she moved back to Houston and began to rediscover the city of her youth. Bringing Mary Cunningham on board, they expanded Girl Around Town to New York City and beyond and began to create the curated content that keeps the site thriving today.

Mary Cunningham, Co-Founder
After a decade in entertainment and music industry marketing, with roles at the GRAMMY Awards and Nokia, Mary co-founded the influencer lifestyle blog, Girl Around Town and currently leads the site's editorial content. Recently diagnosed with MS, she is also now on a personal mission to prove an "incurable disease" thrive-able, empowering others with content and tools for self-care. Her freelance writing around health and wellness is featured regularly on The Huffington Post, Smart Beauty Guide, and the National MS Society.
